Vacation in the Poconos at the Hideout gated community in our newest lakefront, 1142. This charming home, decorated with a nautical theme, has everything you could want on your vacation. Located in the four star amenity filled community, the Hideout, you'll enjoy the spacious home, the large deck and private dock - knowing you are just a few steps away from the community lodge, featuring a large pool, kiddie pool, snack bar, boat rental, outdoor tennis and adult Tiki Bar.

You'll be captivated the moment you enter this charming lakefront. The small front porch conveniently houses your essentials for a fun time at the lake - life jackets and a fishing pole! The airy layout of the house features an open kitchen at the left with a counter and chairs. To the right you'll find a table and chairs for two and several stools strategically placed overlooking the sunken living room where the windows reveal gorgeous views of Roamingwood Lake. The living room is tastefully decorated with comfortable seating, a brick fireplace, unusual pictures and a huge TV for viewing your favorite movies.

The sunroom also has an extraordinary view of the lake and provides an extra sleeping area with a full-sized futon. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, TV and full bathroom. There's a full-sized bed in the second bedroom; with a sliding glass door into the sunroom, you'll also enjoy beautiful lake views. The large loft with a corner sleeper sofa provides a fourth private sleeping area, allowing convenient sleeping for eight.

There are several tables, chairs, a swing, and a large barbeque grill on the deck. A brief walk down the path to the lakefront brings you to a large, well maintained dock adorned with several chairs and a fire pit. You'll want to spend your early mornings or late evenings swimming, fishing or just relaxing on the dock.

As a guest in the Hideout, you'll enjoy all of the community amenities. There are two pools, six lakes, two sandy beaches, nature trails, outdoor tennis, basketball and handball courts, and nature trails. For golf enthusiasts, you'll enjoy the private 9-hole golf course. The new recreation center offers a game room with pool, ping pong and arcade games, indoor tennis and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The clubhouse and pub are known for their gourmet food. Winter sports include skiing, snowboarding and tubing at the community ski hill and cross-country skiing and sledding on the golf course.

There are beguiling attractions in the surrounding area. Just 10-15 minutes away is Lake Wallenpaupack, the largest man-made lake in Pennsylvania with 52 miles of shoreline and 13 miles long. Also closeby are horseback riding, a family fun center with paintball and bumper boats, a children's petting zoo, water and amusement parks, antique and outlet shopping, a spa, a driving range, and many challenging golf courses. In the winter, there's great skiing and snowboarding. The closest ski resorts are Sno Mountain, Tanglwood, and Elk mountain.
